Mail esthetics

I love mail esthetics. I love getting envelopes/packages with stamps and labels. When I was a child I had  a post office kit and loved it. And I was a member in a stamp society. A bit geeky, I know. A couple of years ago I designed a stamp collecting-start kit for children and a stamp album for the Swedish Post (see above). That was fun. And I´m glad I saved my own stamp collection. Aren´t these stamps at the bottom wonderful? The illustrations are from an old french children´s book.

It arrived this morning. Thank you so much. I am trying to locate another Joachim Quelque chose. Not so easy…
Funny you have this book. it is a real gentle story about friendship. I feel the same about stamps. As a kid It took me a lot of time to remove them from enveloppes and have them organized in folders. Now I just keep them in boxes. Love receiving letters with special ones. Dislike a lot when they are automated printouts… I remember a post office kit from Germany with a stamp dispenser, an office counter, enveloppes, forms to fill in etc. … Dolls would wait in line just as you would in a normal post office. Was your kit a bit similar?
